Aluminum Trefoil Cable Cleat

A lightweight three-phase cable cleat for wind turbine tower and onshore routes where reduced mass, fast installation and corrosion resistance need to be balanced.

Best fitTower-internal and onshore routes where low mass matters
Required inputCable OD, fault current, spacing, mounting and environment
Supply definitionMarine-grade aluminum body, stainless hardware and protective liner
Next stepCompare aluminum with SS316 before specification release

Typical applications

  • Tower internal power cable support
  • Onshore wind cable routing where weight reduction helps installation
  • Cable routes needing non-magnetic or low-mass cleat bodies
  • Projects where stainless steel is not necessary but polymer cleats are not preferred

Selection notes

Aluminum trefoil cleats are often considered when installation teams need a more rigid body than polymer cleats without the full weight and cost of stainless steel.

The material choice must still be checked against the short-circuit duty and environment. For single-core AC cable routes, magnetic behavior, heat build-up and cable sheath protection should be reviewed before release.

RFQ checklist

  • Cable outside diameter
  • Peak and RMS short-circuit current
  • Support pitch
  • Tower or onshore mounting details
  • Preferred fastener and liner material

Procurement document pack

Use the public company certificate now. Product-specific drawings, CAD and inspection evidence are released against the selected series and project requirements.

Document availability depends on series, material, size and order scope. Standards and test durations are confirmed in the quotation; no generic certificate is presented as product approval.

Send the project data and we will review the selection by zone, material and documentation requirement.
