A certificate is only useful when its scope matches the claim being approved. ISO 9001 addresses the supplier's management system; EN 10204 records material inspection information; ISO 9227 defines a salt-spray method; DIN 3015 defines block-clamp series; and IEC 61914 contains requirements and tests for cable cleats. None of these documents, viewed alone, proves that a particular clamp is suitable for every wind-turbine location.
Approve a clamp claim only when the document identifies the product or batch, the applicable standard and edition, the tested configuration, acceptance criteria, result, issuing body and traceability link. Treat catalogue values and generic certificates as screening evidence, not project release evidence.

§ 01 Start with the claim, not the certificate
Write down the exact decision first: dimensions conform, material is traceable, coating survived a stated exposure, or a cable cleat resisted a declared load. Then ask which document can support that one claim. A large certificate pack is not evidence if none of its records identifies the supplied configuration.
§ 02 ISO 9001 shows a managed system, not a certified clamp
ISO 9001 defines requirements for a quality management system. A valid certificate can support confidence in controlled processes, audits and corrective action, but it is not a product approval and does not prove dimensions, material grade, corrosion life or load capacity for a clamp.
§ 03 EN 10204 3.1 supports material traceability
An EN 10204 inspection certificate is useful when the heat or batch reference can be followed from the metallic input to the delivered clamp body, plate or fastener. It does not validate polymer grade, assembly dimensions, coating performance or complete-system load capacity unless those items are covered by separate records.
§ 04 ISO 9227 is a test method, not a service-life prediction
ISO 9227 specifies salt-spray apparatus, reagents and procedures. The official scope states that product specifications must define specimen, exposure time and result interpretation, and that the method is not intended to rank materials or predict long-term corrosion resistance. A report therefore needs coating system, substrate, preparation, exposure, acceptance criterion and observations.
§ 05 DIN 3015 identifies a clamp series and dimensional basis
A DIN 3015 reference helps buyers identify light, twin or heavy block-clamp geometry and associated dimensional expectations. It should not be read as proof of a wind-turbine vibration rating, pressure-system approval, corrosion class or service life. Those are application and material claims requiring separate evidence.
§ 06 IEC 61914 evidence must match the cable-cleat configuration
IEC 61914:2021 covers cable cleats and intermediate restraints for electrical installations and includes declared resistance to electromechanical forces. Buyers should match the report to cable diameter, formation, cleat model, liner and optional parts, mounting surface, spacing, load direction and declared rating. A report for another size or assembly is not automatically transferable.
§ 07 Inspection reports need measurement traceability
A dimensional report should identify drawing revision, characteristic, nominal value, tolerance, instrument and result. For external testing, ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation adds confidence only when the laboratory's accreditation scope includes the relevant method; the logo alone is not enough.
§ 08 Release with an evidence matrix
Close the review by mapping every RFQ claim to one record and one evidence level. Unresolved project-specific items should remain open for engineering approval rather than being converted into catalogue promises. This produces a short, auditable release decision instead of a folder of unrelated PDFs.
